MTV tonight is hard to miss Lil Nas X VMA — mostly because of his incredibly exaggerated outfits that almost took over the red carpet. In a nod to the gorgeous, eye-catching outfits that have graced the VMAs over the years, the Montero rapper brings them a touch dramatic. Event – we’re glad he did. No one is as striking as this star, he&#x;s impressively nominated for tonight’s seven honors.

Reed soon became known for his large, sculptural silhouettes. You may remember the designer as the man behind Iman’s equally striking Met Gala look last year. Reed also designed the ensemble for Beyoncé’s most recent cover of British Vogue .
Lil Nas X always loves to create a spectacle on the carpet. After all, he wears everything from palatial Versace capes to jeweled Balmain bodysuits – so it’s only a matter of time before a giant feathered headdress comes into play. Add to that his savage posture and unabashed confidence? It’s safe to say he managed to wear extreme clothes – the clothes didn’t wear him!
