A judge federal ruled that U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham must testify before a state grand jury investigating the whether any laws were broken by former President Donald Trump and his allies in an effort to undo his 2020 election defeat in Georgia.
U.S. District Judge Leigh Martin May rejected Graham’s efforts to overturn a Monday subpoena, saying that while members of Congress are generally protected from being forced to testify about their tenure Legislative activities, the Fulton County grand jury was exploring post-election conduct that might fall beyond those protections.
