LIVALL has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the PikaBoost electric bike conversion kit, which includes a controller, electric hub and battery pack. The project garnered nearly 1,000 backers within 24 hours and raised over £327,000 (~$366,000). PikaBoost has a top assist speed of 25 km/h (~16 mph) and a range of 30 km (~18 miles).

The PikaBoost kit contains a controller, electric hub and battery pack, and a A self-locking mechanism that ensures the device does not fall off the bike. The motor helps you intelligently adjust power output to suit the terrain and how you pedal at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) and Auto Adaptive Rate (AAR) technology. Three Ride Modes Available: Cruise provides the easiest ride with maximum power consumption, Roll helps you work harder on rough terrain and provides resistance in uphill and exercise modes. The 234 Wh battery pack provides an assisted range of 30 kilometers (about 18 miles) and is fully charged in about three hours.
This gadget is very light, weighing 3 kg (~6.6 lbs) ), and the company claims the kit works with any regular bike, regardless of frame shape or tire width. Additionally, a wireless bluetooth lock enables you to secure your e-bike kit remotely. You can currently receive the gadget for an early bird special price of $299; that’s 50% off the MSRP of $599. LIVALL is shipping globally and is expected to ship in March 2023.
