Gehrig, first baseman, played for the New York Yankees season, 2,] Confidence, earned the nickname of the Iron Horse. The perennial All-Star won the Triple Crown, two AL MVP Awards and was a member of six World Series-winning teams. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at 500 and retired the same year. Major League Baseball 2017 has declared June 2 known across the league as Lou Gehrig Day in honor of one of the game’s greatest players, And help raise awareness about ALS.
Eig’s book is the definitive biography of Gehrig, drawing on interviews and over 200 pages The contents of two previously unpublished letters and letters from athletes. This book was previously developed into a movie in 1942, with Kay writing the script and Jay Russell directing.
