Blahnik updated his signature BB pumps and Jada mule sandals in pink, custom to Robbie’s size, but with a slightly higher heel. “Pink is definitely one of my favorite colors—everything from cherry to pink,” says Blahnik. “It’s been a joy to reimagine these styles with a range of shades of pink.” The designer added that he was intrigued by character-centric design ideas. “Barbies are fun, colorful and confident,” he says. “Shoes have to represent the character’s personality and I want to reflect that in the styles I design.”

Robbie wore pink Jada mules by Blahnik with a pink bra top and mini skirt by Bottega Veneta (with a pink convertible, of course!) for a photoshoot in LA. Robbie also wore Blahnik’s sheer PVC mules to the Australian premiere with a pink Versace chainmail dress.
While Barbiecore is sure to be everywhere at the big event ahead of the July premiere 21, Blahnik says the doll’s style— And high heels! — is eternal. “Barbie has always remained modern, evolving over the decades to communicate with each new generation,” Blahnik said. “That’s what makes it iconic—relevant and up to date!” The same goes for his own shoes.
