At San Diego Comic-Con this year, Marvel revealed more than just footage from upcoming movies like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , but its full set of upcoming TV shows and movies . With so many Marvel announcements, it can almost feel overwhelming, especially if you’re a casual movie buff with a passing interest in superhero movies.
We are here to help. Here are the answers to some of the questions you may have after discovering that Marvel will release a million different movies and TV shows over the next three years or so.
What is a multiverse saga?
Aside from announcing not one, but two new upcoming Avengers movies – Avengers: Kang Dynasty , scheduled for release on May 2, 2025, Avengers: Secret War Set for release on November 7, 2025 – Marvel also announced the title of the Marvel Cinematic Universe story, which runs through Phases 4 to 6. The name is Multiverse Legend.
What does it mean?
Well, Marvel really likes to split its release schedule into phases. The first phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe started with films like the first Iron Man, and the third phase ended with films like Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Marvel refers to the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe story as Infinity Saga
Saga of the Multiverse is just Marvel’s movies and tv in Phase 4 to Phase 4 Title of the show 6. Begins with movies like Black Widow, Shang Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings and presumably ends with the upcoming Phase 6 movies like Avengers: Secret War.
Who is Kang?
A version of Kang, appearing in Loki.
Kang is the super villain of Marvel, he will be The focus of Marvel Cinematic Phases 5 and 6. He will be in the upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The next Avengers movie, Avengers: Kang Dynasty, has his name in the title!
Kang, played by Jonathan Majors, is a time traveler with multiple aliases in different Marvel universes, so look forward to seeing the movies and shows in The Multiverse Saga Aspects of the entire multiverse. Fun fact: The character Kang has already appeared on the Marvel show. He is an alternate version of Survivor in the July 2021 Loki finale.
What is Secret War
The fifth Avengers movie, Avengers: Secret War will almost certainly be in Based in part on Secret Wars, it was a super-successful 12-issue crossover series of Marvel comics, released from 1984 to 1985. It features numerous heroes from the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four, as well as individual heroes like Spider-Man. In short:

- were involved in the Secret War. The villains in the series include Dr. Doom and – yes – Kang et al. Four films, Marvel announced as part of a Phase 6 rollout. The Fantastic Four is set to hit theaters on November 8, 2024, ahead of the two Avengers movies, currently scheduled for release in 2025.
But there is also a second Secret Wars comic book series, which was released in 2015. As always, the MCU will do its own unique thing, but the upcoming movie will likely have elements of all of these comics. But some argue that the recent Secret Wars series is better suited to adapting the current form the MCU seems to take.
What happened to the Fantastic Four?
The Fantastic Four , along with two newly announced Avengers movies, are the only Phase 6 movies announced so far or programme. As mentioned, it’s slated for release on November 8, 2024, and has the potential to set the stage for those Avengers movies.
No cast or director has been announced yet, but fans have been clamoring for John Krasinski for the role. We thought it would be a good choice. Notably, Krasinski has already made a cameo appearance as Fantastic Four leader Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
What is the full release schedule? Phase 5 and 6 so far?
Secret War will be released in 2025.
