Nic Pizzolatto has made his way to Marvel.
Creators of the acclaimed crime anthology, True Detective, in development Blade, Marvel Studios’ by Mahershala Ali starring vampire thriller .
This development marks the reunion of True Detective starring Ali in the third season of Pizzolatto’s HBO show.
Blade is starting production in Atlanta in late May with Yann Demange, the pilot of HBO’s boundary-pushing horror series Lovecraft Country , in the director’s chair.
The feature is casting and has recently added rising scream queen Mia Goth to the call list. Delroy Lindor is also on the list.
Blade currently has a script by Michael Starrbury, who won an Emmy for writing Ava DuVernay’s episode Award nominations, when they see us . Pizzolatto is working on a draft of Starrbury and has been pounding the keyboard for weeks, sources said.

Pizzolatto on turning to screenwriter and due to True Detective The critically acclaimed crime drama series on HBO made his name a household name. Starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, the first season was a water cooler show that kept viewers on the edge of their seats thanks to its dark and mysterious tone, deep character work and powerful performances. Ali led the third season of The Ozarks and was nominated for an Emmy for her performance.
Pizzolatto is also making new versions of classic westerns The Magnificent Seven . This is a series based on the novel that the author co-wrote in 2000 starring Denzel Washington. The concept was explored in the remake of the all-star film, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.
