Fashion insiders gathered at Manhattan’s storied La Grenouille on Tuesday evening to celebrate the launch of Mazarin fine jewelry at Moda Operandi. This old-fashioned French restaurant with two Michelin stars proved to be the perfect setting for a Parisian brand feast, with exquisite plants and flowers in the elegant dining room. As guests mingle at cocktail hour, they are treated to jazz music played on a piano positioned above the table.
Take a quick look around the room and you’ll see Nicky Hilton Rothschild leaning against the balcony railing in an elephant bracelet crafted by a jeweler, Supermodel Maria Borges poses at the bottom of the stairs wearing a glamorous elephant pendant necklace made of recycled gold, while actress AnnaSophia Robb holds up a glass of champagne for an experiment on her finger lab-grown diamonds – all Mazarin’s, of course.
Co-founders Louise de Rothschild and Keagan Ramsamy welcomed everyone with a heartfelt message. “Our dream is to contribute to the next chapter in jewelry’s great history,” she explains. “We believe that if jewelry is to last forever, it can and must become more ethical.” That’s why the brand works closely with The Big Life Foundation, a non-profit that works with local communities to protect nature and elephants Organization – This theme runs through the design of the entire collection.
