MeKai Curtis, Star of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan,' Signs With APA (Exclusive)

MeKai Curtis, starring in Starz’s hit series Power Book III: Raising Kanan, has partnered with APA signs all areas of representation.

This show is part of the Power crime show franchise performed by Curtis “50 Produced by Cent” Jackson, also a client of APA. Raising Kanan centers on the rise of drug dealer Kanan Stark, who was played by Jackson in the mainPower series, but here Played by Curtis.

The show just finished its third season, and Starz is expected to take over for a fourth.

Curtis began his acting career at the age of 5 with a guest appearance on HBO’s groundbreaking show Sex in the City. with Steve Carell and Jennifer in Disney’s adaptation of Alexander and a Terrible, Terrible, Bad, Very Bad Day After Garner starred opposite, he became a Disney star. He then went on to be a series regular on numerous Disney Channel shows before catapulting from Disney star to provocative bad boy champion star in Raising Kanan .

By signing Curtis, APA retains talent, both promising and established, Namely established by Power and Jackson’s banner G Unit Film & TV in its ever-expanding network of representatives. Jackson-esque clients on the firm’s roster include Mary J. Blige, Michael Rainey Jr., Joseph Sikora, Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., Russell Hornsby and Eric Kofi Abrefa, as well as the aforementioned kingpin Jackson.

Curtis continues to be managed by Untitled, represented by Walter Mosley.
