At the end of last year, Xiaomi updated Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G, launched Lite 5G NE, an almost identical smartphone with a different chipset. In 2022, the Lite line will apparently also have an NE model, but this one will be more different.
According to sources from China, the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE has been listed in the IMEI database Found, which shows its existence and model, i.e. 2210129SG. The “G” at the end indicates that this is a device serving the global market, not the Chinese market.
In fact, rumor has it that it will be a rebranded Civi 2. The phone is already on sale in China, so it’s only logical that the rebranded model can only be found elsewhere.
Xiaomi Civi 2 has a different chipset compared to the original 12 Lite – Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, It should perform better than Snapdragon 778G. It also has a different main camera with 10 MP resolution instead of 108 MP , and MP ultra-wide sensor instead of the 8 installed on the existing Lite MP sensor. While the selfie camera itself appears to be the same, the Civi 2 features an extra ultrawide sensor and a dual LED flash. The battery is also slightly more powerful at 4,256 mAh vs 4,300 mAh while all other specs Both are, if not identical, then very similar.
Interestingly, 2210129 SG has already passed the FCC certification in September, so its release may be thinking more recently than you think. From the FCC process we found Lite 5G NE will come in three configurations: 6GB RAM and 50GB storage, 8/128GB and 8/500 GB.
