Micah Parsons doesn't play Shannon Sharpe, skips Bayless gig

Micah Parsons aspires to greatness. In fact, ahead of Sunday’s season opener against the Pirates, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy challenged Parsons to transform from a great player to an elite player for the 2022 season.

Parsons had his first chance to do so, and the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year did not disappoint, in Sunday’s 19-3 loss to the Buccaneers. Became one of the few bright spots for the Cowboys. Parsons had two sacks on Tom Brady in the first half, keeping Tampa Bay temporarily out of the end zone.

The All-Pro pass rusher will make his first weekly Tuesday appearance on Fox Sports with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe Undisputed in the program. However, the show’s hit host was unable to get in touch with the 23-year-old following the Cowboys’ recent loss, according to the dire announcement. While Bayless and Sharp apparently couldn’t reach Parsons, he didn’t exactly lose money.

On Monday, Parsons took to Twitter to express his displeasure with the Pirates running back Leonard Fournet’s chipping issue in Sunday’s game. Then, on Tuesday, he shared a video asking fans to help improve his Madden rating.

So while Parsons is sure to bounce back from the Cowboys’ poor performance on Sunday, maybe he can make his debut next week with an energetic analyst.
