Michael B. Jordan's 'Rainbow Six' Finds Writer (Exclusive)

Paramount Ambitions based on the Tom Clancy novels Rainbow Six The vigorous adaptation found a screenwriter.

Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith co-created the 2013 British crime drama Run , has been used to write an action thriller starring Michael B. Jordan and Chad Stahelski command.

In addition to staring, Jordan also produced with Elizabeth Raposo via the duo’s Outlier Society banner. Also producing are Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans of Weed Road Pictures, and Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec of The Saw Mill.

This feature project is a follow-up to Jordan’s 2013 action car, Without Remorse, The actor once again plays Navy SEAL-turned-CIA agent John Clarke. One of Clancy’s most popular characters, Clarke appeared in the late author Jack Ryan’s book of espionage, and also appeared in the title of two novels, Without Remorse and Rainbow Six, the latter of which spawned a series of video games.

Executive Producers are Stahelski, Jason Spitz and Alex Young.

Fajemisin-Duncan and Smith grew up together in South London and came to prominence by co-creating Run, a film by Miniseries starring Olivia Colman. The show won them a Royal Television Society Award for Best Dramatic Writing and a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Breakthrough Talent.

The duo also worked on Save Me and Save Me Too, which won RTS Awards for Outstanding Drama and Best Dramatic Writing, and was nominated for BAFTA for Best Serial. The pair are currently adapting the science fiction novel The Upper World for Netflix, which is produced and stars Daniel Kaluuya. They are also developing the recently announced Fightland on Starz, with Executive Producer Curtis ” Cent” Jackson production, set in the high-stakes, cash-rich, dangerous world of British boxing.

Fajemisin-Duncan and Smith were represented by CAA, Grandview and Sayle Screen in the UK.
