We adopted the Chromium open source project in the development of Microsoft Edge to provide our Customers create better web compatibility and reduce web fragmentation for all web developers.

We’ve also started giving back to Chromium in areas such as accessibility, touch, ARM64, and more. Our plan is to continue working in Chromium instead of creating a parallel project. We’re working directly with teams at Google, and we look forward to more collaborations with the open source community.
