Microsoft will gradually roll out free Windows 11 updates to the HoloLens 2 Mixed Reality headset.
This update will ensure continued platform support, monthly security service updates and optimized performance.
New features include developer tools like Microsoft Edge WebView2, available in HoloLens 2 preview – which enables developers to embed HTML, CSS , and JavaScript into native applications on the headset.
Another great new addition is 3D Annotation, giving users the option to annotate anything around them, whether it’s on a surface or object, or just in a frame any position.
Microsoft has also added Constrained Mode to HoloLens 2 to give businesses control over what can be displayed on the mixed reality headset.
Microsoft says users are free to stay on Windows 04, but if they want to use a newer OS, they just need to go to the Check for Updates section in Update and Security.
