Paramount+ has revealed when it will launch in Germany and France, two of Europe’s largest regions.
The Paramount streaming platform will debut in France on December 1 and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on December 8.
Published to announce that on Tuesday at International TV Market MIPCOM Greatly expands Paramount+’s European footprint. Currently, the anchor is live in the US, UK, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia, Italy, Ireland and South Korea.
Paramount+ in French and German will be available on Paramount’s sister networks including Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Showtime and Smithsonian , as well as feature films from Paramount Pictures.
Subscribers in these regions will be able to access Paramount+ Originals including Star Trek: Strange New Worlds , the latest spin-off of the long-running sci-fi franchise; Sylvester Stallone-starrer Tulsa King ; and 1923, a prequel to Yellowstone, by Harrison Ford and Helen M. Lon starring.
Programming will also include children’s classics such as PAW Patrol , Rugrats and SpongeBob SquarePants and local language originals, including French mystery dramas Signal and Fantasy Horror Thriller Masks: Marie Antoinette Serial Killer and German Eco-Network Thriller The film The Thin Line of the famous German director Danny and the liar drama De Scheich Levy (Go for Zucker!).
Paramount+ will be distributed through two Rolling out regionally online and on connected TV devices via Apple, Amazon, Google, Samsung and Roku, as well as mobile devices, it will also bow on Sky in Germany and Austria and Canal+ in France.
