Mitch Trubisky’s career numbers are incredibly deceiving, so don’t be fooled and believe them.
Closing only counts for horseshoes, grenades and Mitch Trubisky’s career stat lines in the NFL.
On paper, Trubisky in passing yards, completion percentage and quarterback wins in his first four NFL games It’s a rare Chicago Bears season. Unfortunately, he’s not Patrick Mahomes, Kurt Warner, Russell Wilson, Dak Prescott, or Carson Palmer, as Trubisky has been for years in his third team. He’s a paper tiger for the Pittsburgh Steelers, that’s all.

Trubisky can win games to lead the Steelers, but they’ll never win a championship with him.
Mitch Trubisky’s pro NFL stats are misleading , does not tell the true story
Movement Competency, leadership and playmaking are what made Trubisky the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. While Trubisky did win a lot of games in Chicago, his performances were often against the team. Chicago won games in the Matt Nagy era because of defenses he wasn’t involved in. At least Trubisky can reinvent himself.
Supporting Josh Allen and barely playing in Buffalo was the best thing that ever happened to Trubisky’s career . Unfortunately, the Steelers are handing the keys to the next Bobby Brist, Neil O’Donnell or Tommy Maddox. Kordell Stewart will always be the more dynamic player. Frankly, we won’t see if Pickett can be the next Big Ben until he starts playing.
Even though Trubisky was at a similar level to when he was a pro bowler or NVP in Chicago, once Deshaun Watson stopped In 11 games, the Steelers will have the fourth-best starting quarterback in the division. Thankfully, Jacoby Brissett filled Cleveland’s vacancy in the meantime. The Steelers probably drafted Pickett early on, so why didn’t they?
There is one way Pittsburgh can win with Trubisky, and that is by playing the ball on defense.
