MLB Free Agency 2022: Predictions for Carlos Correa, Edwin Díaz in Latest Rumors

This MLB offseason will be dominated by shortstops available in free agency. Carlos Correa is precious in his opt-out with Minnesota double City’s contract, he has the shortstop group after exploring free agency for the second straight offseason. He could get paid handsomely from any World Series contender, even his 2017 World Series The one that the Houston Astros beat.

The Dodgers could lose Trea Turner, their top shortstop in free agency. This will leave a big hole in their infield and the top of their order.

Diaz is coming off a season with an electric 32 saves and he will take his ERA from 3.45 down to 1.31 and increased his strikeout total from 89 to 118. No guarantee the Mets will re-sign Jacob deGrom and Chris Bassett , but they could at least solidify one of their pitchers by keeping Diaz in service. New York needs the best talent at most positions to keep pace with Atlanta and Philadelphia, while losing Diaz could be the difference between winning and losing a few games in a tight division throughout the regular season.
