Major League Baseball is one of the fastest growing brands in 2022, according to a new report.

MLB ranks 15th fastest growing among all U.S. adults this year, according to a report released Tuesday by global decision intelligence firm Morning Consult Quick brand.

Major League Baseball is the only sports league on the list. The only sports-related brand is Gatorade Fit, Gatorade’s new sports drink. Gatorade is also a partner of MLB.

“Great to see MLB Recognized as a fast-growing brand,” said Karin Timpone, Major League Baseball’s chief marketing officer. “I think the main reason has to be the exciting, dynamic players on the field. Our great athletes are connecting — and that’s, I think, the basis of why there’s some real momentum here.

“Based on what’s happening on the pitch and the strong base of our players, what we want to do from a brand perspective is communicate to the wider The fanbase tells more baseball stories. Timpone attributes a large portion of 2022 MLB brand growth to MLB’s social media efforts. This entails both customizing content for its specific platform (like Instagram reels or Tiktok videos), and most importantly, combining MLB stars’ feats on the field with their backstories off the field.
