While we are almost a month into the 2023 MLB season, the truth is Each team in the league has more than 130 games left. It’s a cliché, but there’s still plenty of baseball to be played.
Having said that, based on what we’ve seen this year, there’s a lot we can start buying. The Cubs look like a potential playoff team with reinforcements. Meanwhile, the Cardinals, the favorites to win the NL Central this season, have five games under .500. Then there’s the Warriors, looking like the best in the National League, but their future looks as bright as ever.

MLB Rumor: Close Kyle Hendricks’ Cubs are back with the latest update
Thanks to an incredible hot start between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Milwaukee Brewers, the Chicago Cubs are three games away from No. 1 in the NFC Central. However, a 12-9 start after a busy offseason with the addition of the likes of Dansby Swanson and Cody Bellinger has people feeling good about this team.
Why don’t they, even though they lead by three games, they are in terms of points scored (121) and points allowed (82) Tied for the division lead and tied for the NL leader. Even better for the Cubs, though, the roster, especially the starting rotation, helps going forward.
On Tuesday, it was reported that veteran Kyle Kyle, who has not pitched since July 2022, has not pitched since July 2022. Hendricks will begin his Triple-A rehab for the Iowa Cubs on Thursday.
