Motorola launches Edge with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 23 Pro earlier this month, expected to be joined by Edge 40, but that didn’t happen. Geekbench doesn’t mention the name of the SoC, but rumors say the Motorola Edge 28 will have MediaTek dimensions 8020 Chips at the helm. It’s also worth noting that the codename “MT6891Z_Z/CZA” mentioned in the CPU information section of the Geekbench listing is similar to Model name for Dimensity 1100, ie MT Z/CZA. In addition, Dimensity 1100 also has an octa-core CPU, four of which have a maximum clock frequency of 2GHz, while the other Four go up to 2.6GHz.
Benchmarks sometimes get the details wrong, so we’ll have to wait for more sources to confirm this about the Motorola Edge 23 SoC for sure.
