80 MTV Movie & TV Awards Only a Few One explicitly mentions the ongoing writers’ strike but the off-site event apparently looks different.
The show has many pre-recorded segments and acceptances from upcoming movies and TV shows as well as previous editions of the MTV Movie & TV Awards speeches and clips. Additionally, the program, award categories, and nominees and winners are announced via voice-over, initially referring to the event as “2023 MTV Films Television Awards Special.”
