MultiVersus Season 1, Warner Bros. Free to play Super Smash Bros.-esque crossover fighter, now starting August 15, developer Player First Games tweeted Thursday night. The season was originally scheduled to start on August 9, but the studio announced last week that the release was delayed.
With the news of the season start date, player First Games has announced that Morty of Rick and Morty will be joining on August 23rd MultiVersus lineup; his arrival was also delayed last week. Player First Games also promises to add “new modes and content” throughout the season. Before the first season was delayed, Rick and Morty’s half of Rick was scheduled to be added sometime this season, but it’s unclear if that’s still the case.

MultiVersus in public beta in July. Rick and Morty will join an already packed lineup that includes characters like Bugs Bunny, Harley Quinn, Arya Stark, Iron Giant and LeBron James. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
