Before he went out, Ruiz went 1 for 3 on home runs. The Nationals defeated the Cardinals 11-6.

This season, Ruiz’s batting average is 0.251, last season was 0.313 – base percentage, 0.360 slugging percentage, 7 Homer, 36 RBIs and 99 hits in 112 games.

Ruiz’s status is worth monitoring, especially to see if he can play in any of Washington’s three games against Philadelphia. Here’s hoping he can play for the team as soon as possible.
