Nebraska’s head coach Scott Frost commented on how much the entire offensive line was boosted in practice before the regular season, the coaching staff Unwittingly, it became a source of controversy.
While appearing on his monthly radio show ( Evan Brand of the Omaha World-Herald ), Frost said the offensive linemen threw up a total of 15- 20 times.
“It’s not because they’re not in good shape — he’s just training them hard,” Frost said of the offensive line coach Donovan Raiola said. “I think they love it. He liberates them, makes them more aggressive, and I love the way they play off the ball.”
Following Frost’s comments, the coaching staff was quick to object to allowing this to happen.
ESPN’s Kevin Seifert called the comments “a ridiculous and embarrassing brag,” noting that he An NFL player (Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Korey Stringer, who died in 2001) was reported to have died of heat stroke, in part from vomiting during practice.

In July 2021, after Stringer’s death before the 20th anniversary of the founding of the nation, Seifert wrote an article for ESPN.com, Highlights some of the ways the NFL and states are changing safety protocols to protect football players from heat stroke.
“A total of 38 states have amended laws or passed new guidelines to enforce safety protocols, and an estimated 75 % of high schools have cold water soaking tubs to reverse flare-ups of fever, according to Douglas Casa, CEO of KSI and professor of kinesiology at the University of Connecticut,” Seifert wrote.
CBS Sports’ Morgan Campbell says if he sees many players getting sick on the field during practice, he will ask questions.
Frost probably thought he was making a comment about how hard the players were trying to make sure the Cornhuskers had a good season, but this only Will raise questions about the coaching style and philosophy of the staff.
Nebraska has been scheduled to play Northwest on August 27 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland University, starting the 2022 season. In Frost’s four seasons as head coach, the Cornhusks went 15-29.
