Netflix and prolific producer Shawn Levy are reuniting for a killer limited series.
Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment, has an overall deal on streaming, while The Jackal Group will produce Perfect Couple , a six-episode murder mystery based on the novel by Elin Hilderbrand. Jenna Lamia (Good girl, embarrassed.) is adapting the novel and will be the showrunner.
Perfect Couple Celeste Otis who is about to marry the perfect man Centered – Happened to come from Nantucket’s wealthiest family. But when it was the morning of what was supposed to be the annual wedding, when a body was found floating in the harbor, everyone at the party became a suspect.
Lamia previously developed The Perfect Couple at
Fox Version under the Broadcast Network’s SideCar Content Accelerator, led by Gail Berman. The Fox project didn’t go ahead and the network eventually 2020 disbanded SideCar in 2020. Berman returned to The Jackal Group and served as a Netflix show alongside her Jackal Group partners Hend Baghdady, Lamia, 21 Laps’ Levy and Josh Barry and Hilderbrand Executive Producer. 21 Laps VP Becca Edelman and manager Moera Ainai, who brought the project to Netflix, will oversee.
Levy is the executive producer of the Netflix hit Stranger Things. His company is also behind the streamer film Adam Project (directed by him) and the series Shadow and Bone, we Unseen All Light and Lost Ollie and so on.
