The Night Agent,
Netflix has sent out another A series order for an action thriller.
The streaming giant has placed an order for an eight-episode TV series based on
Man on Fire. The show is based on the first two of AJ Quinnell’s five books in the series and follows a pair of features similarly adapted from author Philip Nicholson’s work.
Netflix series follows John Creasy, a broken ex-mercenary who He’s on a mission to avenge the death of his only friend while protecting the daughter of his fallen comrade from the army that destroyed her family.
The role was previously played by Denzel Washington in director Tony Scott’s 1994 in the movie and 1987 Scott Glenn ( Scott Glenn’s Italian feature film.
Kyle Killen (Fear Street) Join Producer and Showrunner as Writer, Executive. The series comes from New Regency Productions, whose film studios produced Washington Films and Chernin Entertainment. Killen was previously the Showtime-turned-Paramount+ series Halo but departed video game adaptation Instead of being uprooted to Budapest for a lengthy production.
Killen will executive produce alongside Chernin’s Peter Chernin, former US/Syfy/Peacock Originals President Jenno Topping, Bill McGoldrick and Juan Alfonso. Chernin has a priority deal with Netflix.
New Regency, which controls the rights to the property and finances Scott’s functions, counts Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer as executive producers.
Killen’s Chapter Associate Scott Pennington will oversee the company.
