Last week, images of some new Chromecast devices surfaced, featuring the same design as the current Chromecast with Google TV and a bundled voice remote. This model supports 4K HDR output and was introduced nearly three years ago. This new model may only support 320p resolution, but will use the exact same Google Assistant remote to control the Chromecast.
New news from SnoopyTech on Twitter that “Chromecast with Google TV (HD)” retails for $152 and it is already available at US retailers. The new Chromecast is likely to launch soon, but we wonder if it will launch before Google’s October 6 event — although timing suggests it might go on sale on the day of the event.

We wonder why Google Will release a Chromecast that looks exactly like any other model unless it plans to replace it. Maybe Google will change its Chromecast strategy and offer an entry-level model for $152, then launch a more powerful model with more High price point and more features. Maybe Google is planning to retire 2020 Chromecast along with Google TV. Please take these guesses with a grain of salt.
It all comes together.

Google will host its annual hardware event in person on October 6th, when it will announce the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, new Pixel Watch, and there are rumors that we might see some new Nest Home hardware and a Chromecast with Google TV might fit somewhere out there.
