Ever since Samsung’s Chinese rivals started producing foldable smartphones that fit fully flat, we’ve been anxiously waiting for the South Korean company to match them. And, as many rumors over the past few months have predicted, the wait appears to be over next week.
Samsung India took to Twitter today to tease the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip5, which will be unveiled at the Unpacked event in July 21, and the teaser made it clear: The phone folds flat. Just look at it when it’s closed – you can’t see any gaps.

We can breathe a collective sigh of relief now, right? As you can see, this teaser is about a mysterious symbol created by folding a bunch of Flip5s together at different angles, and it’s not the only such teaser. Samsung India’s Twitter account is also littered with more different symbols. The company wants you to suggest what these symbols mean, so if you want, go for it.
As you probably already know, the Flip5 won’t be the only device to debut at the July21 event – the Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Watch6 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series will also be joining them.
