Lucasfilm brings Willow to D23 on Saturday with Warwick Davis and the rest of the cast to reveal the new trailer for the series. Actor Christian Slater is a new addition to the cast announced at the convention in Anaheim, California. Slater noted that he was surprised by the live riffs on the Disney+ show.
Ron Howard’s movie is about living as an apprentice wizard Nerwyn. Set in 20 years later, the new Disney+ series centers on the search for Willow’s three heroes. Ellie Bamber, Erin Kellyman, Tony Revolori and Cailee Spaeny star in the series, which is produced by United Produced by producers Jonathan Kasdan and Wendy Mericle.
Willow is the latest Lucasfilm property to bring back classic stars. Obi-Wan Kenobi in late May has Ewan McGregor back in his 1999 The protagonist played for the first time. Recent star Diego Luna will also be on the top line Andorra , a movie featuring his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character.
Willow debuts in November 20 on Disney+.
