You have a lineup problem. We have the answer. At least we hope. Start ‘Em & Sit ‘Em has been helping fantasy managers make those tight lineup decisions for years. Do you know what a good decision is? Start Patrick Mahomes. But it’s too obvious, so you won’t see it here. Instead, here are some of the most pressing issues. And, if you can’t find the player you’re looking for, check out the latest NFL Fantasy lineup rankings right here.
The Saints sacked Desmond Reed four times while holding him to 97 for 26 passing yards. Since 2000, Ridder is just the second quarterback with fewer than 100 yards on at least 25 pass attempts. The other is Brett Hundley. The problem for the Saints is that they allow a lot of rushing yards. The Ravens have had a rough run. I’m starting the Ravens this week.
The Chargers defense has definitely been lackluster this season, but this is about matchups. The Colts have the most fantastic PPG this season with 10.9 defenses per game. Matt Ryan has been sacked a lot, and turnovers have been an issue for the Colts. This often leads to fantasy points on defense. Plus, they’ll be without Jonathan Taylor. If you’ve been streaming, the Chargers are on this week.
Buccaneers defense has been disappointing, especially from the fantasy side this season Look. But it’s purely about matchups. The Cardinals have allowed the eighth-highest fantasy PPG against defenses this season (7.8). But they could be down to their third-string QB Trace McSorley. Live Bucs this week.
Bill has not been a good defensive unit this season, either in fantasy or in real life. But they can be great in the right matchups. While you may be thinking
Patriots defense Usually popular in fantasy, but I’ll have them sit this week against Joe Burrow and the Tigers’ explosive offense. For the year, the Bengals allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy PPG against defenses (4.9). This offense can score quickly. Turn in the other direction this week.
Packers in game against Bulls The Rams have had a solid game, but they haven’t been the unit many expected this season. Plus, this week, they got the Dolphins, not the Rams. Opposing defensemen have allowed just 5.4 fantasy PPG against them this season, ninth-best in the NFL. Streaming elsewhere this week.
The Giants defense stood out in a big game on national television. That might make you consider streaming them, but I wouldn’t do that with Vikings. The Vikings are allowing only 6.4 fantasy PPG against defenses, which is mid-range, but it’s an explosive offense, as we just saw last week. Don’t play the Giants this week.
There was a time, a long time actually Time, in which you’ll run defense against the Lions. But not anymore. This season, that offense has been explosive at times. They’re allowing just 5.1 fantasy PPG against defenses, which is tied for the seventh-lowest Bills in the NFL. Who would have thought that an offense led by Josh Allen and Jared Goff would fall into that category? The point is, sit back and defend against the lion.
