Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre is under scrutiny for helping defraud the government to build him a volleyball court. Funding comes from welfare payments, which take away country residents in need of financial help. Many took their thoughts to Twitter, arguing that Favre should be jailed for his actions.

According to a Mississippi TODAY report, Favre worked with former Gov. Phil Bryant to plan the stadium.

Bryant’s text message to nonprofit founder Nancy New revealed Bryant’s involvement, although he denied it. The text reads: “Just left Brett Favre. Can we help him with his project? We should meet soon to see how I can make sure we keep your project on track.”

Favre also reportedly asked how the new director might affect their fundraising plans, to which Kobe responded, “I’ll deal with that… Long story, but changes have to be made. But I’ll call Nancy and see what happens.”

Many people think that the law Furr’s actions are unacceptable because they deprive those who really need it of money to survive.
