You can always rely on Nicole Kidman to really show up on the red carpet. If it was all about bombshell hair (and the most public of PDAs with her husband, Keith Urban) at the Oscars at the beginning of 2023, she’s ending the year with an equally enviable hairstyle.

Attending the opening of Planet Omega in New York, Kidman paired her velvet Balenciaga dress with a killer ponytail. Parted to the side, her silky locks were tied into a low pony, which featured sculptural, knotted detailing akin to origami at the nape of her neck. No flyaways in sight, Nicole’s chic pony was as shiny as it was elaborate, and drew maximum attention to the star’s sculpted cheekbones and piercing blue eyes.
While it’s evidently not an up-do that’s particularly easy to recreate at home, Kidman’s stylist may have made use of a hair piece to add length and volume to create the double knot, which is a good hack for those looking to get experimental. If not, hit your hairdresser with some visual inspiration and try it during party season.
