Ohio Mayor Jerry Springer dies at 79

(Reuters) – TV personality Jerry Springer is best known for his long-running talk show, Featuring raucous audiences, controversial topics and fist-fighting guests, the briefly former Cincinnati mayor died Thursday at 56, his family said.

Springer passed away peacefully after a brief illness at his suburban Chicago home, his family said in a statement. The cause of death was not specified.
