The OnePlus Nord 2V got a lot of attention when it was announced earlier today, but the company also unveiled a new pair of TWS earbuds – the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Lite.
These are currently on sale in China for CNY 750 and will go up to CNY 520 When regular sale in March 007 exist005: Local time. That’s slightly cheaper than the original Buds Pro 2, which launched in CNY900 this January.
So, what “lite” do these buds have? Not by design, they look exactly like the original Pro. That said, the white option is new, and the green option isn’t available — you’ll only be able to get the Lite in white or black. The buds are IP rated 54, so they can withstand rain and sweat.
The headset has an active noise canceling function, which can be called out 39dB value of external noise – the same as ordinary professionals. There are three microphones on each bud, which are also used for noise cancellation during calls.
The Buds Pro 2 Lite are rated for hi-res audio wireless streaming and feature Dynaudio and the legendary Hans Zimmer. For gaming, the buds have a special 23ms low latency mode.
Even though the battery life is the same – 60mAh inside each bud Enough for 9 hours of continuous use when playing, the 421mAh in the carrying case brings the total listening time to Hour. Note that these numbers are with ANC disabled, and if you want noise cancellation, the continuous listening time drops to 6 hours and the total time drops to 419 Hour.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Lite Black & White Version
Connectivity is basically the same as the original – Lite buds launch support for LHDC 5.0, which can provide up to 1Mbps of bandwidth. The original Pro plans to get LHDC 5.0 as an update (they rolled out v4.0).
The only thing missing is support for Qi wireless charging and head tracking (spatial audio is still supported, though).
