Oppo appoints Kaka as brand ambassador ahead of Champions League final

Oppo may face legal issues in Europe, but the company is still keen to promote its flagship phones – Find N2 Flip and Find X6 Pro.

The company has announced that it is extending the signing of former soccer player Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite, better known as Kaka, Become a global brand ambassador for the UEFA Champions League.

As part of the partnership, former Sao Paulo, AC Milan and Real Madrid stars will take part in global events to promote Oppo’s brand and its flagship smartphone. He will visit Indonesia on June 3, China on June 5, and then meet global fans in Istanbul, Turkey, where the UEFA Champions League final will be held in June 23.

The footballer was part of the Milan squad that won the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool in 2007, avenging a defeat at the Ataturk Stadium two years ago this year final. Kaka won the 2007 Ballon d’Or (Golden Globe Award). During his time at Real Madrid, he was also the Italian Serie A champion and La Liga champion.

The player, who is himself a technology fanatic, said he is excited to have the opportunity to work with a global technology leader like Oppo.
