Ouachita Baptist defensive lineman Clark Yarbrough died Sunday at the age of 21 after a sudden collapse on Sunday, the school announced Monday.
Ouachita Baptist, a secondary school in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, announced that they will be hosting a campus party to mourn Yarbrough’s unexpected death.
Yarbrough made two tackles Thursday in the season opener against the Oklahoma Baptists in the team’s 42-32 win. The Tigers host South Nazareth next Saturday.
Last football season, the Texas native ended with an All-American Conference honorable mention. He also finished with 27 tackles, 1.5 tackles lost and a quick quarterback.
