Paddington 3 The cast has been filled, while one player has left the series.
Antonio Banderas and Rachel Elle Ziegler will join franchise newcomer Olivia Colman In the third film in the series, Emily Mortimer was cast to replace Sally Hawkins as the family matriarch, Mrs. Brown.
“For me, now is the perfect time to hand over the power to another person, and no one better than the truly wonderful Emily Mortimer, who Very special. She will embody the very essence of Mary Brown, yet be completely her own. Yet, I am and will always be in love with the world of Paddington,” Hawkins said in a statement.
Returning cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin , Ben Whishaw as Paddington Bear and Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy.
The film’s official synopsis reads: “Paddington’s story comes to a happy end as he returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the Retired Bear Home. A thrilling adventure ensues as the Brown family is drawn by mystery into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up the mountain peaks of Peru.”
Coleman will Play as a nun who runs the Retired Bear Home. Banderas will play a fearless riverboat captain who offers to help the Browns on their Peruvian adventure, whose daughter will be played by Ziegler.
Paddington in Peru will be award-winning commercial and music video director du Gale Wilson’s debut feature film. Heyday and StudioCanal are producing the feature film. Filming will take place in London and Peru.
StudioCanal fully supports the film, which will be released in Peru Paddington in UK, France, Germany, Benelux , Australia/New Zealand and Poland. Sony Pictures owns rights to the rest of the world, excluding Russia, China and Japan.
The Paddington film was both a commercial and critical success with StudioCanal, grossing more than One million U.S. dollars. The percentages for the first two movies are 97 and 99 Freshness percentages on Rotten Tomatoes respectively, and also reached cult levels.
