Pamela Corante joins MPAA's communications team

Pamela Corante will join the Motion Picture Association as Vice President of Global Communications with a focus on piracy. The top lobby group represents the film, streaming and television industries on behalf of the world’s largest entertainment and media groups.

Corante will lead communications for the Creative and Entertainment Alliance, whose mission is to protect the legal ecosystem for creative content, and the MPA’s industry-wide network of film and trusted partners. Television Content Safety Initiative.

She will report to Jan van Voorn, MPA Executive Director, Global Content Protection and Head of ACE, and John Mercurio, Senior Vice President, Communications. She will join MPA on January 3

and will be based in Los Angeles.

Corante arrived at MPA from Virgin Hyperloop, a transportation technology company based in Los Angeles. She previously led internal communications for AT&T’s Latin American Digital Entertainment division.

As we enter the new year, I am confident that Pamela will be an excellent addition to the MPA as she will work closely with the ACE and TPN teams on some of the most important issues for the Association and our member firms priorities,” van Voorn said in a statement.

Mercurio added, “In her previous roles, Pamela has been, by all accounts, a great leader in thinking creatively and strategically. has been successful in advancing broad goals and I am confident that she “will build on this success as a key member of the MPA Communications team.”
