New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick offered little insight into the possibility of Julian Edelman returning to the NFL. “I’ve talked to Julian, I talk to him a lot,” Belichick said on Monday The Greg Hill Show
. “So, yeah, I don’t know about his conversation with Rich Eisen and so on. You have to ask Julian about it, but I don’t know.”
Edelman retired before the 2021 season, despite immediate speculation he would rejoin Tom Brady with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Regardless of what Edlman was thinking, it’s questionable whether the usually tight-lipped Belichick would voluntarily provide any new information.
