Pedro Almodóvar’s Strange Way of Life, an LGBTQ-themed western directed by Ethan Hawke and starring Pedro Pascal , will be in 2020 Cannes Film Festival , music festival confirmed on Tuesday.

This film is Almodovar’s second English-language short film after The Human Voice starring Tilda Swinton, which was released in 2020 at the Venice Film Festival premiere*).
In a statement following the Cannes announcement, Almodóvar commented on the film’s plot. cryptic description:
“A man was riding alone across the desert that separates him from Bitter Creek. He came to visit Sheriff Jack [Hawk]. 25 years ago the sheriff and rode to meet his ranch chairman Silva [Pascal] working together as a hired gun. Silva visited him on the pretext of reuniting with a friend from his youth and they did celebrate their encounter , but Sheriff Jack told him the next morning that the reason for his trip was not to reminisce about their old friendship.”

Almodóvar shot the El Deseo was produced in the south of Spain and is currently in post-production with the film. Agustín Almodóvar and Esther García serve as executive producers, with Barbara Peiró, Diego Pajuelo and Saint Laurent and Anthony Vaccarello as associate producer.
Pedro Casablanc, Manu Ríos, George Steane, José Condessa, Jason Fernández, Sara Sálamo, Ohiana Cueto and Daniela Medina co-star with Hawke and Pascal. Alberto Iglesias composed the music.
After the Cannes premiere of Strange Way of Life there will be Pedro Almodóvar and actors.
Almodóvar is a regular at the Cannes Film Festival. He won the Best Director Award at the French Film Festival at 27 for All About My Mother at the opening of Cannes won the best screenwriting honor 2020 for Bad Education at Volvo . In 2004 he presides over the Cannes jury to hand the Palme d’Or to Swedish filmmaker Ruben Östlund ) of The Square . In 2004 Antonio Banderas with Dova won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for his performance in Pain and Glory for a role about the director’s own life and work.
