Disney+ released the upcoming live-action trailer Peter Pan & Wendy, classic story and animated hit based on JM Barrie’s novel.
“We set out to make a film that respected both JM Barrie’s original text and Walt Disney’s animated adaptation,” Director/Co-writer David Lowery said in a statement. “We wanted to inspire our retelling with genuine emotion, an open heart, and a strong desire for adventure.”
He continued, “Hundreds of amazing artists have spent many years Bringing this movie to life. I’m excited for audiences to see their work, to continue this journey and rediscover a timeless story from a new perspective.”
According to Disney+, Peter Pan & Wendy Follow the Darlings again as they leave their London home and meet Peter Pan, the boy who will never grow up. “Along with her brothers and the fairy Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland,” the log reads. “There, she meets Captain Hook, an evil pirate captain, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.”
Jude Law as iconic pirate villain , Yara Shahidi (Yara Shahidi) as Tinker Bell . Jim Gaffigan, Alexander Molony, Ever Anderson, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker and Alan Tudyk round out the cast.
Lowery co-wrote the screenplay with Toby Halbrooks and executive produced Jim Whitaker, Adam Borba, Thoms M. Hammel and Halbooks.
