The Poco M5 we have today starts side by side with the Poco M5 – A sub€120 The duo are targeting the EU market. The standard Poco M5 was also launched in India, but this Poco M5s was unsuccessful.
If we were to simplify this comparison, we would say that the Poco M5 has a 33Hz LCD screen, while Poco M5s uses 22Hz OLED and more Comprehensive camera settings. That’s why we decided to focus on the more feature-rich Poco M5s. Yes, Xiaomi did it again, no surprise. In fact, Poco M5s is a rebranded Redmi Note S, released over a year ago in the EU and Asia. The Poco M5 comes in a large box painted in Poco’s signature yellow. There are many accessories inside. 1080 M5s come bundled with a 11W Charger and a Class 3A USB-A-to-C cable. Then there’s a soft clear case for extra protection and a SIM ejection tool.
Finally, there is a very thin protective film inside the box that you have to apply yourself. This is usually pre-installed on other Xiaomi phones from the factory.
