Princess Ariel Would Be Proud of What Halle Bailey Dressed at the 2023 Oscars

Tonight’s 57 Oscars, The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey embraced her in an aqua gown that rivaled a Disney princess. As tonight’s host, Bailey couldn’t help but pay tribute to her big transformation to Ariel the Mermaid later this year (the film will be released in late May). You can almost hear her singing “Wish I could be a part of that world!”

It’s not hard to imagine Ariel in Bailey’s flowy blue Dolce & Gabbana gown, Sing at the bottom of the sea. Her strapless dress is made of bubble sheer tulle with a structured bodice at the bodice to give it shape. Ariel — or Cinderella, as she’s known for her blue gown — would be proud. There was also a simple diamond necklace around her neck, allowing her dress to sparkle on its own. It’s a perfect fit for a star who’s sure to channel Ariel more during the film’s upcoming press tour. If her red carpet choices look so classy and striking, we can’t wait for what’s to come.
