Princess Eugenie has given birth to her second child: Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. Sharing a photo of the newborn, the royal revealed the happy news on Instagram, writing: “Jack and I would like to share the news of the birth of our little boy Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank May 2023 at 8.49 weighting 7.1lbs.”
The choice of the name was Eugenie explaining that her son’s middle name was in honor of her great-grandfather King George VI, Jack’s father George Brooksbank, who lived in 2021 tragically passed away, along with her grandfather Ronald Ferguson. Eugenie added that her two-year-old son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank – who is known as “Augie” with a middle name in homage to Prince Philip – “already loves being a big brother”.
Eugenie announced she was expecting her second child in January, sharing a sweet photo of herself and Augie on Instagram, captioning: “We are so excited to be with Share that this year we have a new addition to our family this summer.”
Ernest Jr. is the third grandchild of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Beatrice Princess Sienna and her husband Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi will welcome their daughter Sienna Elisabeth
in September. Beatrice is also stepmother to Edoardo’s son Wolfie.
