Realme announced the GT Neo 5 with support for 23W fast charging earlier this month, and the company also confirmed that a Realme GT3 with the same charging rate is in the works. Today we have an invitation to the official launch, which will take place at MWC in Barcelona in February 23.
The company did not confirm nor deny whether the Realme GT3 will be the new name Realme GT Neo 5 for the global market. Currently, the 240W smartphone is only sold in China, but we’ve already seen the GT Neo device hit the international stage.
Rebranding the GT Neo as a vanilla flagship would be a first for the company despite Realme’s long history of rebranding. For example, the GT Neo 3T is the same as the Q5 Pro in China, while the GT Neo 2T is also known as GT Neo in China and X7 Max 5G globally.
At this point, there are more questions than answers, but we hope to have more details in the two weeks before the event. Once we have all the key information, we’ll be in Barcelona and reporting directly to the conference, so stay tuned.
