Max’s comedy The Sex Life of a College Girl is saying goodbye to one of its core foursome.
Renee Rapp will be leaving the show in the upcoming third season. The actress and recording artist would appear in several episodes, but as a recurring guest star rather than a series regular, which led to her character Leighton Murray leaving Essex Academy.
The show’s second season ended with Leighton coming out to her father and quitting the sorority while her roommates dealt with their own issues.
Rapp played Regina George in the Mean Girls musical on Broadway and again in the film version Playing that role, the version began production in the spring of 2017. She is also signed to Interscope Records and released her debut EP, Everything to Every last year. Her first full-length album, Snow Angel, will be released in August.
Max renews College Girl Sex Life pp. Three seasons in December. Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble (showrunners), the series also stars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur and Alyah Chanelle Scott.
