Locarno Film Festival organizers said Thursday they will honor Italian filmmaker and director Renzo Rossellini with a lifetime achievement award .
The award ceremony will be held in August at the Piazza Grande in the Swiss town 12 followed by a screening of Federico Fellini’s La città delle donne (City of Women , 1980), produced by Rossellini.
