iPhone 14 Plus didn’t start as early reports suggested, and now The Information indicates that Apple has discontinued production of the iPhone 14 Plus and is re-evaluating demand.
The new report, citing supply chain sources, states that Apple has contacted at least one iPhone assembly partner to immediately stop the iPhone increased production and also contacted two component suppliers to reduce production by up to 90%. The report also mentions that at least one iPhone supplier has been instructed to add iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models.
Apple has made no official comment on these developments, although we can only assume that iPhone buyers are not looking for non-professional devices, just $899.
