There are five games left in Ignite’s season. Henderson did not play in the last game against the Texas Legends.
Henderson missed time after entering concussion protocol with a broken nasal bone and ankle injury.
The 19-year-old is averaging 16.5 points on 42.9 percent shooting on 6.5 FGs in 19 games with Ignite Assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals.
Henderson will be the No. 1 draft pick in most years, but the spot is lost to Victor Wembanya in 2023 Horse (Victor Wembanyama) takes possession. The 7-foot-4 superstar is the undisputed No. 1 prospect, arguably the best since LeBron James in 2003. Proof at this moment. Jonathan Wasserman of Bleacher Report puts Henderson in second place in his latest simulation.
“The play of Brandon Miller, Nick Smith Jr.’s return and Thompson’s upside will at least give the Spurs H before THREE THERSON,” Wasserman wrote. “But whichever team gets the No. 2 pick will probably go back to the Ignite star.”
This year’s NBA draft will Held June 22 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
