'Rogue One' returns to IMAX theaters ahead of 'Andorra' Disney+ premiere

Disney brings Rogue One: A Star Wars Story back to theaters ahead of premiere on September 21st show. The 2016 film returns to IMAX screens in the US on August 26, along with an “exclusive viewing” of the upcoming Disney+ series. Preview details are minimal, but may expand on . Either way, the re-release of Rogue One will give Star Wars fans the chance to play in Diego Luna ) rewatched the film before reprising her role as Cassian Andor.

Set five years before the events of Rogue One , which itself is A New Hope The prequel to Andor tells the story of how the rebellion began. Disney called the series a spy thriller. With Andor , Diego Luna isn’t the only actor returning to the franchise. Genevieve O’Reilly and Forest Whitaker reprise their roles as Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera. The series was originally scheduled to premiere on August 31, but Disney delayed it to give She-Hulk: Attorney at Law more time to find an audience. The first three episodes of Andor will premiere at the same time, and subsequent episodes will air every Wednesday.

Rogue One is widely regarded as one of the best movies of Disney’s Star Wars era. The film grossed more than $1 billion at the initial box office and even won two Oscars. If you don’t live near a theater with an IMAX projector, you can watch movies on Disney+.
